cant get in to edit post

Hi there
I just replied to a post there and then tried to get back in to edit it. I couldn't get back in and the normal little "edit" button was missing.
Also in the posting rules box it said : YOU MAY NOT EDIT YOUR POST.
I've just checked it again and now it says I CAN:confused:
is this normal?

Wondering if I've pressed the button marked;"DO NOT PRESS"( its been done before!)

All back too normal again-Iwas in the member classified bit-is this a security thing?

I think you have to be a full member to edit posts in that section. Same reason that you can answer, but not post new messages.

I used to be a FM, and also made a post in Members Classifieds. Just had a look and can't edit that one, but all other posts I made in other sections can be edited just fine. As mentioned above, I reckon this is a safety feature preventing paying subs only once and editing an old post with new items FS into eternity.

Yes I've just checked again and I can edit this thread but not the one in the classifieds-it's not an issue as such, as I say I just wondered if I had done something amiss.
