Yep - thats where I got my grain grinder although there are far more sophisticated ones it works fine.

Two part preserving jars are hrribly expensive in the UK compared to the US. The best stockist fairly close to you is Wares in Knutsford (Cheshire)

Hope that helps

Regards,

Cheapest I know of for jars is IKEA:

Their 'SLOM' range has kilner style jars which I've used for jams and pickles before - prices start at a pound. Just check when you buy them that the metal clip holds the seal tight, as some of them grip loosely and thus don't compress the rubber seal as well.

Waitrose do Le Parfait storage/preserve jars. I'd didn't think they were too expensive and they have different sizes.

Thanks to Red, and everyone else..

Thats basically what I came up with, that the stuff seems to be so cheap in the US, but I could not even find them in the same quanties, let alone prices in the UK.
