Be alright if they didn't have holes cut in them and areas of material removed......

Well how much do you expect for an item of that size and weight, The owner has to make some money out of it - Its called business.
As for the holes in the canopy I believe the seller has mistaken the Aerolon Flaps Which are supposed to be there as holes!

But you'll never know because you won't be buying one will you!

I won't be buying one because I don't need one!

As for a business making money, I've got no issues at all with that. It's what business is all about - ask Donald Trump! But make the money honestly by selling the PRODUCT for the price you want, NOT by loading up the postal charges! I dunno what a parachute weighs offhand (and it's a LONG time since I've used one), but a quick check on the Royal Mail pricing website says a 10Kg parcel can go for under a tenner by standard parcels, fifteen quid for the Parcelforce 48 service the seller is charging £20.00 for and, as I recall, they pack down quite small!

Which one packs down small, the PX4 (Which weighs about 30Lb) or the new LLP.
Most of these chutes that are sold are ex cargo chutes which are bigger and weigh more than normal chutes!

That aint bad really, you are looking at 40 quid including postage for one of those, although cutting bits out is a bit wafty

Exactly my point Yes, and they only need sowing up with a bit of nylon material at worst if they are rips!

I bow to your superior knowledge Greg. The ones I used were something called a "six metre aeroconical" if I remember rightly, a big round canopy that seemed to pack down into something around the size of a 35ltr rucksack. Didn't seem very heavy to me, but maybe I was stronger in those days, some 25 years ago! :)

Well actually no. The seller is not supposed to make money from the post and packing on ebay. Reasonable costs may be charged but no more. Of course what is reasonable is open to question, but that is a different discussion.
