I'm interested in this one too I have an LK35 and its a superb pack.

One thing I am considering is making a larger pack to fit the LK35 frame, after all it's not like you could carry them both at the same time. I'm also thinking about improving the LK35's harness and adding a proper hip belt (currently I have a cheap PLCE copy belt tied on with paracord)

The LK 70 is available from swedish online retailers I think

About halfway done there are LK70's

But as I cant speak swedish I've not got any further with this. Dont know what Postage would be though either.

Try and make a phone call at +46 515 330 04. I read through the terms (köpvillkor) and it says nothing about not sending items abroad. But they want an order not below 200 Swedish kronor. About the back pack, it´s bomb proof. The model were used by the Swedish special forces. I´ve got one myself and it is not top of the line but not much to break down either. At the home page they got used for 250.- and brand new for 450.-. Mine is made 1987 in Norway (!) by Bergans. I guess they made them on a license from SACCI who makes equipment to the Swedish defence (and made the 70 L ,K from the beginning). Early models are made in a thin fabric but the one in the pics are in heavy cordura. If anyone got questions (translation) send me a PM. /Mimung

Working that out that makes the price of a brand new LK70 in GPB around, £34.50, or if you go for the used pack £19.15. the big question is do they post to UK and IF yes whats the cost of postage going to be?

Think there may be potential for a group buy anyone ? or has this been talked about before? I'm thinking it has, I'm sure I remember a thread similar to this.

If you get one, try to get a MOLLE upgrade harness set off e-bay.
It;s a new set of straps for the pack that are much better than the original ones. You can pick them up for about $20. Well worth the effort of tracking down.

I like the idea of a group buy. I have seen them on swedish sites before but not speaking swedish does make things difficult.

I have just ordered the lk70 from surplus.se. When I was living in belgium I had also asked them about postage price to belgium, but I remember it was too expensive. Now I'm in sweden and it's cheaper to order. Of course if you order a lot at once it might be worth it.

I use the 70LK (the abbrevation meaning 70 litres, complete) sometimes. Recently I have found it to be a bit too big for most of my outings, and it is rather heavy for what it is. For longer winter trips it is good, but still on the heavy side. You have to be of a certain build for the frame to ride well on your back.

The big con with ordering from sweden is that shipping is unproportionally expensive (the swedish mail is a really ill managed company). And as the pack is not only heavy but also big and hence quite cumbersome to put in a package, I suspect that you will really get ripped off on the shipping.

If you still want a bombproof, hardwearing KISS pack, and are willing to fork out for the shipping, I would go for it.

I found them at this place

http://www.bbfab.se/div/2004-9.htm

and they say they will ship for 344 sek.
I think that works out at about £53 total for the bag and postage.
A bit too pricey for me. I'll have to keep looking.
