Question on Highlander/meth burners

Hi Folks,

Is there a min and max height for having your cup/billy over the flame. I've been trying to suss out a way of putting my meths burner in the crusader cup cooker ( which I've come up with a good idea, I'll put this in another thread), but what I need is the answer to the above question and also how long should it take to boil 500ml of water on a meths burner, oh I'm also using a home made wind shield to help.

It's just the results I'm getting don't seem quite right:o

Hi Tree, my set up is a crusader cooker,redbull cooker, crusader mug with an ally lid i knocked up. i found i couldn't fit a trangia cooker in because of the height. you cant have the cooker too close to the mug. mine takes 9 mins to boil 1/2 pt water. not quick, but then in the woods who cares about time. hope this helps.
