Can anyone remember what the venison was marinated in/with to make the jerky?
Anything you want! My missus uses tomato ketchup! I'm more of a "tabasco and soy sauce with a bit of salt and pepper and some red eye chillies crushed over them" type of guy myself!

Hi EDs,it was me and Vince that made up the jerky but it was Patrick who supplied the spice rub for it. Patrick said that he got some guy he knows to make it up for him,maybe an idea to pm him.
He did say, Chilli" when I asked when the stuff was smoking :D

Not sure about the Loch Tay marinade beacause I never managed to get there but you`ve got to try worcester sauce, garlic powder, coriander, black pepper and la piece de resistance jack daniels or jim beam.
