Well after alot of messing I'm here.

Quite a few coats of linseed and walnut oil.
Decided to stop fiddling and get it working and see how comfy it is to use ( not convinced that the scales are too flat) if worst comes to worst I can make it a little thinner.
Thanks to Mike for the rather generous Cocobala which looks great in the flesh alot better than the pics (not everyones taste I gather but I love it)
Still not sure how I chipped the blade here...in fact almost convinced I didn't as I was very rarely in a vice and always with soft jaws and held on the tang!!!!

Started to take it out with a diamond and then thought it would work it way out eventually!
Anyway pics are rubbish as not alot of light in Shropshire today yada yada....be kind...

I'm definately a fan of that knife!

Two questions:

1)What blade did you use for the knife?

and

2)Do you have any pictures of the whole knife, showing the blade's complete size?

Its the 115mm lapplander from
http://www.thegoodstuffshop.dk/default.asp?lang=uk
I will sort out a better pic for you hang on na cant fin one will do one later when no so busy.
Got to say great service form the shop, cheap posting and quick.
Looked at the 90mm first but thought that 115mm would be a better length for me.
