View Full Version : Hello everyone
Hi All,
My names JD and I am new to the forum. I have recently moved to the middle of no where in Wilts. I am located between Salisbury Plain and Swindon. I am a complete novice to Bushcraft but not to the outdoors despite being a complete townie and lived all my life in London. So far I have limited outdoor pursuits to walking and camping but now I live in this fantastic place I would love to find out more about the countryside, living off it and travelling light. I would like to know if there is anyone in my area who would like to chat or better still is there an organised group in my area who meets up.
Best wishes
JD

welcome JD. we are honoured with a wealth of knowledge and even some wisdom on this site.Feel free to ask any questions, you'll get all the answers and a few fourpence worths
Welcome JD. That's a great part of the country that you've moved to and I'm sure you'll find some great bushcraft haunts.
This is a really great site and everyone is very friendly and willing to answer questions, no matter how dumb (I can vouch for that having asked some very dumb questions at times!) with great knowledge and patience. So make yourself at home and don't be afraid to ask!
:pack:
Welcome abaord :-)
And to echo what kath said above, any questions you have just ask.... there is no such thing as a dumb question and with the knowledgable folk on here someone will have an answer.
:-)

I'm not sure about meetups in your area but i'm sure you will find some people willing, there is a big meetup in S.wales on the 20th if you can make that i'm sure you'll learn a great deal
Thank you all for the warm welcome.
Stuart: I saw the weekend in Wales but only after I had arranged a camping trip down to Cornwall that weekend. I would definately be up for anything in the future though.
Les: Hi I will PM you.
