Just answered the post on owning a sak and wondered if anyone knew if this was actually one. Like in the other thread I stated,: it has a goldie coloured sheild with a diagonal X inside it and a crown on the top of the sheild.??
Will post a pic if it helps

Well I don't recognise the crest and it doesn't appear to be a victorinox (the made-in-switzerland swiss army knife)
but I think the term SAK is used as a general term for a multi-bladed utility knife these days, in the same way as
'hoover' and 'flymo' etc. are used, so I think it qualifies for the poll IMHO :)
Are there any markings/names on the main blade?
hi is made by Spanish kinves maker AITOR.
I think that quality is ok but below VICTORINOX standars.
only Victorinox and Wenger ( Victorinox bought Wenger in 2005) made knives can claim to be genuine as issued to the Swiss army Knives this is usually stamped on the Blade
but a bit like Hoover now is used as a name for all vacuum cleaners
SAK or Swiss Army Knife is used fo all similer made knives a lot are just real cheap nasty copies some maybe oks but the best is stillmade by the above 2 companies

It's not the logo for either vitrinox or wenger, so to me that would suggest that it isn't a genuine SAK.

An Aitor. There's an article on them here.
