explaination of "grinds"

Hi All,

You'll have to excuse my ignorance on this one but can anybody explain the difference between the different knife grinds and the advantages or disadvantages of them? Or point me to a thread I've missed.

I had a look on the search option but I couldn't really answer my question. I've been comtemplating getting a knife for a while now just for general bushcraft and I've just ordered a Frosts carbon from the shop as this seems to be a good comprimise for the time being.
