why do you want one of those?
but if you must,
what do you consider the right price?
direct from trackerschool seems cheapest considering the exchange rate.

IMHO - that is a fugly knife, but does it work well as a bushy blade?
If it does I forgive it it's looks......

Never heard of one of these before. Just looked on the link and don't know what scared me the most; the knife or the price!
The trouble with the tracker knife is that it carries out its tasks in a mediocre manner.
I had a go with a tracker out in Afghanistan, owned by an ex ranger and it wasn't a bad bit of kit and it kept an edge.
It would probably be good for fighting a muslim down in Sangin and would be a welcomed friend in a survival situation but for bushcraft your better off buying the tools that you need.
This knife will never replace a good axe and bowsaw, yeah they may weigh more but you would be glad of that axe if you were up in the great north.
Thats my ten bobs worth anyway.
That's not a knife.... THAT'S a knife!!!! :D

I see you've played knifey-axey before.......
Have to hold up my hand and say..... - not as good as an axe, not as good as a bushy, but damn does it scare the squirrels!

Mind you, this weekend I met a guy who had one and reckonned it was a not bad tool, BUT, he works as a forrester so is well versed in using hand tools, and he went to a good deal of trouble to change the dreadfully obtuse edge bevels that TOPs insist on putting on their knives. We talked about it a bit more and agreed that there is nothing wrong with their steel, heat treat, or build quality. It is a question of the design and its execution and in the case of the TOPs version, much of the ridicule stems from their execution of the design. The Roger linger and David Beck versions were much more useable.
Hey now, don't 'diss the Tom Brown Tracker. Benicio del Toro certainly made it look interesting in "The Hunted" and it is a perfect example of a horrible product with a great media marketing campaign!
Nuff said,

I have had a Tops tom Brown tracker for about 2 years. it is a great
tool it has replaced my small ax on my horseback camping trips.
And I to changed the blade angle also the 1095 holds a good edge.
I still carry a Ax but it is a full size double bit for taking down trees.
For trees up to 4 in I will use the tracker.
PS I have been a fan of Randall knives for years and my number 1 goes every where with me. But a while back I was shown a Tops knife and
they are great knives at about 1/3 the price of Randall's
I thought all knives were the same?
Hi, one bespoke sheath i made up for a tom brown tracker knife.

Cheers Topknot.
each to their own but the saw teeth would probably blunt or break when useing a batton. also whats the idea with the kink in the blade:confused: surely that would get in the way

On the WSK Version's you are right,But the saw teeth on the TOPS Tracker are well up for Batoning. And the curve is a Gut Hook

My wsk's notch saw teeth have not broke and they sure have been battoned. The curve in the blade is a quarter round for carving.

Check out knifetests.com and you can see the Predator WSK Knife being tested,And the result of the testing.

The Predator received a Fair grade which is better than many and not as good as others. However the Predator has been phased out for the Raven. The Raven is 1080 carbon steel upgrade. The issue with the tip was also fixed.

Yes he is odd haha. I always wondered why he hides himself haha. He has stirred the knife world by some of his tests on highly praised knives. Especially his Chris Reeves tests.
I think he could be much more credible if he would standardize his tests more scientifically. Swinging a mallet at a knife in a vise is not very accurate haha.

I've just been looking at the Raven, and it does look like they have fixed the weak point issue.I'm still trying to find a Leather sheath for my TOPS Tracker knife,so I won't be getting a Raven anytime soon,As the sheaths for the Tracker are well expensive.
****************************** ********************** I personally prefer a Katana for my bushcraft needs.

no offence caused i'm sure. being as how you were looking for the latest prices and the latest sources that the old info that would be found by using the search function would be redundant. :D and you don't want to worry about people getting lairy about tools they haven't used themselves...
but any way....
i have had brief go with a tracker and i didn't like it much either. :lmao:
you might try these folks at http://www.michiganknives.com/TOPS.html i see they have 'em if a bit confused over the size, and they ship to the uk.
cheers, and.

This guy also addressed that here. The issue was fixed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQZ5WjB6HyI
For me there are two problems with the Tracker. The first is that the blade is interupted mid way, making it impossible to slice or batton large logs. The second problem is the weight. It is a heavy knife, but at the same time very short. For that weight you can get a much longer blade that will give you much more utility.
