Yes the stove looks good and seems to work well. However, would the third world people the stove seems to be designed for be able to afford the nice juicey steaks seen in the video?

Rik,
I can appreciate the whole "run time on a small fuel load" thing but with all the effort to make one, I'd be tempted to just put a skillet over the top and cook the steaks on that - well, they are only little ones aren't they!

My god! He took an interesting subject and made it boring! Nice idea, but the film nearly killed me!
I only started using wood fires again about three years ago, after a lay off of about 30 years, and to be honest, its so easy to use a load of wood to cook a small meal:( I have been looking for a good woodburner/bbq setup, and did look at the Cobb system, but this video has given me food for thought:)
Rik,

I've got the top two and both work well as fuel economical stoves. The woodgas one is fiendishly hot!
Think I'm with Spamel on this one, nice design but his presentation sucks. But those steaks  I think one would feed a third world family for a week.
