The part number is TT26609-28.

I can't help with a source on your end of the planet, but wanted to ask, is that a 28" blade? It seems very long for what I'd use a machete for. What type of work will you be doing with it? I ask because you might be better served with an 18" or so blade. You would most certainly be able to find a sheath for the shorter version before you would such a long blade.

As far as price, there again, I'm pretty much useless for what you'll find in your area, but here in the States, they are usually very inexpensive.

Thanks for that, I know they're not too expensive & the length is just what I want

Are you, per chance, an executioner by trade? That is a pretty extreme blade!

I'm looking for a 14-18" machete with a companion knife, easier to make 'em from the same steel I'm thinking

Colin,

I got a 14" tramontina from a shop in Wells-next-the-sea called Walsinghams for about £5. Good machete but the sheat leaves a bit to be desired.

Be honest Colin...you just want a bigger blade to take to the Hammerin next year for the cutting comp!! :rolmao:
