Hi all,

Went camping over the weekend - and the family size tent we have ( below ) is leaking like a sieve, and is starting to tear along the pole channels, so need to invest in a new one for spring.

The one we have has 3 clip in "rooms" that are fly/mozzie proof, but are rather small

Looking for something that will fit in the boot of the car, and big enough for 2 adults, one 7 year old and two toddlers, not concerned about separate enclosed rooms, but would like it mozzie/fly proof/or as near as possible.

Maybe also suitable for internal stove ?

weight is not an issue, wont be carrying the thing.

Thanks

I've just ordered a Bison Tundra 8 with stove Loz but I can't really recommend it yet as I haven't got it :D but apparently they are good if you want as I do to have a wood burning stove for winter camping.

They look good - i assume that central pole is in sections ! ( 3.5 meters ) - have you ordered a ground sheet to go with yours ? - is a ground sheet compatible with stove use ? - and finally do you have to treat canvas tents before you take them out, or does the weave make them water resistant ?

Thanks

Loz

I had the tundra 16 and that would make a formidable family camping tent!

Loz,

The pole is in sections for ease of transportation no, I didn't order the groundsheet (I intend to just modify and use the gs from my old tent if I need one on occasion) but the gs for the tipi is compatible with the stove.

Some folk have noted that their tents leak but it turned out that this was due to the cap being on at the time of proofing and the guy lines were in the way. I think it may be sensible to proof it yourself prior to using it.
