I`m in the market for a new winter bag as it happens - are these any good folks ??
They look a bit on the big/heavy side

They are heavy, and the standard one is too short for anyone over 5'11"
I'm 6'1" I have to use the 'long' version.
the Rating on the site linked is, well for me, woefully over optimistic, I’ve used my bag in winter, and found that at minus 2 degrees centigrade, the bag keeps you warm enough not to be freezing, but too cold to sleep. YMMV
I’m normally a warm sleeper, (in the summer forgo sleeping in my sleeping bag as it is way too warm.) It’s a great three season bag, and with a liner it can be used down to zero, comfortable. Nevertheless, I would invest in a warmer bag for the winter.

Bought some awhile back off of ebay. Could have had a bunch free after hurricane Rita hit in 2005. But I didn't loose anything in the storm and to me that would have been wrong to run for free handouts when some folks lost everything. So I paid for mine.

Good use for them in these situations.
