I just got a film back from my recent trip to the Lakes, we stayed in Eskdale at Fisher ground campsite in the Tipi.

This is a couple ofthe river Esk

The next couple are taken on the Fell road looking over Birker fource with Harter Fell in the distance.

The weather was rolling in fast on these shots and it was really windy, Its a view that I have admired for a long time This time I took my camera.

Those river shots look fantastic. Like it's a melting sheet of glass !

thanks Dave, it was a nice spot just by the river, me and my wife stopped for a brew, really peacefull.

Lovely shots there Simon, never really explored the lake district much, always imagined it as a tourist trap and all commercialised (sp?)....

Yeh it is I suppose. But some of it is truly beautiful scenery. Just avoid it at bank holiday weekends, it gets alot of visitors.

Lovely piccies Simon.

How is Fisherground these days? We first went years back when it was pretty quiet. Last went a couple of years ago and it was heaving.

Again bank hols are packed. during the week is bliss hardly anyone there.
