hi i'm new to this posting thing, have been viewing site for well over a year now enjoying all the buschraft pics mainly as well as the articles, decided to join mainly on acount of where i live there is nothing set up for ppl with interest in buschraft despite being Canadian with all the forest i could want i have surprisingly little access to quality gear .... easpicialy in the knife, firesteel and hammock my question is is there another northamerican poster that has found a way to get such things here(Canada, Atlantic to be more precise) also am interested to find any posters in my area(Cape Breton) or at least atlantic canada in general.
High Cheetham,
I very warm welcome. Come and get smoky and warm by the fire.
Whilst I don't use much kit (I like to do without or improvise) you can buy most stuff online (either on this site or others) and get it posted to you.
I hear Breton, Canada is beautiful and plenty of wildlife.
Welcome hope you enjoy the site.
Welcome mate,
And congratulations for living in (IMO) one of the last paradises on Earth!
I agree with you that the NA continent can seem a little limited with regards to kit (especially handbuilt custom knives) - especially as you seem to have such a market for it - living, as you do, in the "wide open spaces" as it were. We have no shortage of craftsmen here in Europe producing handbuilt, quality kit - and most ship worldwide. What we don't have is your space!
Maybe we ought to get our heads together!
Enjoy the site - I look forward to your posts from bushcraft heaven!
Hiya and welcome to the forum :D
