Saw this growing on some wild rose this morning....Now I have seen someone post this before, but I can't remember what it is, can anyone remember, or even where it was posted on here...Is it a gall or a fungi..?

When you said "Weird Growth" I thought you were refering to The Joker :eek:
This is quite common on roses in my neck of the woods - be nice to know what causes it:rolleyes:

It's known as Robin's Pin Cushion. It's a gall caused by the Diplolepis rosae wasp. I was showing some to my four year old earlier this afternoon.
