Thinning Leather Dye

This MUST have been asked before, but I can't find it on searching - honest:D
What should you use to thin Fiebings pro oil dyes. They do their own stuff which comes in tiny bottles and is mostly meths.

Can you use meths, or rubbing alcohol or anything else?

IDA or IMS is probably best as it's meths without the dye added to it.
