Today i went fly fishing for the first time in almost 10 years and ended catching my biggest trout to date 5lb,my father in law caught 3 fish to a weight of 14lb,normally i prefer sea fishing but i only do it during the winter months for cod, today made a nice change though also got some cracking views across the firth of Fourth over to Fife, the breeze kept the rain away so it was blue skies and sunshine.Mind you as always the bushcrafter in me had me on the lookout for anything of use,i spotted Meadow sweet just in case i had a headache, there was Sorrel which would have made a nice sauce to go with the trout,Bog Myrtle and loads of Hares running around, all in all a good day out.
