Does anybody know of a cheap Uk supplier of either DC4 or DC3 whetstones?

Some peculiar product descriptions and a wrong photo illustrating the DC3, but they are cheap:

Best regards,
Paul.

EDIT: I mention above that the whetstone illustrated and named as the DC3 on the site is incorrect. I’m told that the new production DC3s have a gold coloured diamond plate, the same as the DC4. The old DC3 had a silver coloured diamond plate. Apologies if my incorrect information misled anyone.

I got mine from Andrew, Outdoor Code.
He had the best price around at the time.

The DC-3 is pretty small, the DC-4 is a more useful size

get the DC4 as opposed to the DC3, that extra inch makes all the difference when using the stone.

Has anyone had problems with the two halves becoming unstuck? The bushcraft school I have been working for owns a load of them, most of which have fallen apart:rolleyes: . I bought a spyerdco field stone about a month ago which has proven to be more robust.

Hi Aaron,

I’ve used a DC4 (used to have a DC3 – now in Iraq) extensively on many kinds of blade and never had a problem with either of them. I feel confident that if you email Peter or Eric at Fällkniven with details of the problems you mention that they will sort it out without any quibbles. I’ve always found Peter to be a stand-up guy in respect to any personal contact I’ve had with him, and I’m sure that the same would apply to Eric.

Best regards,
Paul.
