New series BBC1 on sunday evening. Time lapse geology basically. quite interesting, especially the bit that explained the yellowstone national park is the top of one of earths largest volcanoes. It blows its top every 600,000 years or there abouts without fail.It last erupted 630,000 years ago! were overdue a major eruption which will cover over 50% of north america with lots of volcanic debris and give the rest of us a few problems too. :chill:
Ya I watched that too Bob - pretty interesting. Next weeks series looks good to. I think they paln on covering a few subjects - lets hope they do one on evolution of our species too.
question is Gary, have we really evolved?????? ;)
Have we? I think its more a case of shame we have!

I studied geology and geography for 2 years (doin geography at uni in september....68 days to go!!) and wot i learnt was that humanity is nearly always on the brink of extinction  . So i try not to worry bout it.
It would b so amazingly cool watch the supervolcano explosion from space though...
