View Full Version : 9mm Wood Drill bit
I'm after a 9mm wood drill bit but I only seem to be able to find them in sets, does anyone know where I can buy them singularly?
Thanks.

But sadly I've never found a 9mm one :(

what type of 'wood drill bit' do you want?
wood "dowel drills" come in all sizes and tend to be drill fairly flat holes
hss drills (metal type) can be used on wood
flat/spade bits start at 10mm I think, but if you need to use it quite a lot, it might be worth buying a 10mm and reducing it.

What will you be using it with? If it's a pillar drill, I just use a standard HSS and can send you one.
If you're using a pistol drill I would sometimes use a 4 first to get the hole lined up more easily (it works with the bottom set kids so you should find it a doddle).
If you want a 9 HSS pm me and I'll stick one in the post, I have them coming out of my ears (one of the few in the set they don't often break).

Dave - have you got any spur point or dowel bits in 9 or 9.5mm?

Pm sent to Red Dave
Don't know if you found the bit you need. This is a great company for old style tools. These bits are made in Germany so you should be able to find a closer source.
