I always like reading peoples signature at the bottom of their posts.
My favourite signature this week has to be................ Adi007!!
"If engineers designed buildings the way programmers write code, the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilisation."
It makes perfect sense.
Jack
Yes, I love it too!
But to put it into context, remember that da Vinci advised aspiring architects to go and look at buildings that fell down while being built to learn what not to do!
i like the sound of this post! I think it should be a weekly thing. "The signiture which impresses Jack the most!"
This week, Jack will be mostly reading............
Yes. Thank you Jake and thank you Jamie.
This is a mature, grown up sort of thread...........so I will continue on my quest of 'signature of the week'. :nana:
Now another one in the running is Gary's, from Bearclaw Bushcraft;
Back to Basics - bushcraft before brand names.
Says it all really. Well thought out.
i sense competition between BCUKers!
Quite possibly :rolmao:

"If engineers designed buildings the way programmers write code, the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilisation."
It's funny because its so true
some peoples pictures are quite funny too.
I think mad dave is headed for an award! I like your signiture!
I like the signature 'It's never too early in the day to dig a latrine.....'
I would also add that it's never too early in the day to use a latrine.

Jack: what happened to this thread? :-)
Cheers
Thanks for the reminder Andy.............
I did see some good ones the other day.....I will try and find them! But please do post some of your favourites :biggthump
Cheers
Jack.
My favorite is Buckshot's signature:
"In a world whose only quarrel with instant gratification is that it takes too long, we are practitioners of a dying art: patience."

Seeing as we started this up again my favorite at the moment has to be Bothyman's:
"We should not intend to reach the grave in an attractive, well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - a cigar in one hand, a drink in the other, in a body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, while screaming, "WOW - What a ride!"
and as a matter of interest in my case the cigar would be a Bolivar royal corona and the drink a pint of spitfire and I would be screaming that, only with a bit more swearing.

I actually took it from an old edition of 'Field and Stream'.
It seamed apt somehow...
Cheers

I like the old 50 50 90 rule
I go for funny ones rather then deep and meaningful
yep, my vote goes for the 50 50 90 rule, its so true!
ok i'm most likely being thick here but what is the 50 50 90 rule
:o):
"The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong."
Yup! I go for the 50 - 50 - 90, too.
Works every time.

I hadn't noticed that when you change your sig it changes it in your past posts as well. It's a shame really as me may loose some very funny sayings
"The student union gave me a survival kit
*matches
*lighter
*condoms"
but because you are a bushcrafter you dispensed with the matches and lighter, and used the space for extra condoms!!
Personally I rather like Kath's signature. Not just coz its short, but its very, very true an dquite poignant, especially when applied to bushcraft.
Well done Kath:clap: :biggthump

Best one I know is Mikey P's: "The worst decision you can make is no decision" - one of those rare sayings that is actually true - very true in fact.
Well mine is Andy's
Good idea!

Ha ha!
It's ironic that you should hate (a emotion I don't like) Linux. And I find your signature offensive, given the thread!
Peter

You are doooooooooomed!!!! :o): :o): :o): :o):
I really like the idea of linux. I heard of a company that put the little penguin on the keyboard rather than the windows logo because people thought that the windows logo was a constant reminder of Bill's domination!
Jake if you want to try it I'll send you a CD that you just boot it up from so no need to install.
I do like linux for the stuff that I use windows for. I just don't like using the commands
Andy, im an absolute no-nothing when it comes to computing...just like the idea of "big vs small" !! :o):
Adi's just made me smile!
I wonder if Kath has seen it yet...
