Can anyone recommend book search firms or services that locate used books? Where do you look if you are looking for a used book?

Abebooks are pretty good.
For locating old or used books in Scandinavia (Scandinavian and English titles) you can check here http://www.antikvariat.net/english.cgi
This place http://www.ilab-lila.com/ is perhaps easier for you, as you may find books in the UK or the USA too.
My favorite is Bookfinder (http://www.bookfinder.com/)
It covers US and Canada bookstores very well, but I do not think it has much for the UK or Europe. I find its interface very good.
UsedBooksearch (http://www.usedbooksearch.co.uk/) is UK based and covers the world, but I find its user interface to be less than ideal.
I also use ABE as noted above.
