Tengu, you manage to find the most incredible things. Yes, I remember these stoves. I saw tham quite often back in the 1970's, I think. They appeared in several camping equipment catalogues and a fried of mine had one. I seem to remember that the gas cylinders weighed quite a lot but they were good stoves.:D
I've got 3 or 4 I think, one is still sealed in its box. A good stove, simmers well, frugal on gas, in fact one of these types was my first gas stove @1973. They take the standard thread cartridge, but don't get the very long gas cans Tengu they are longer than the back support and this will strain the thread on the cartridge.
I must dig one out and have a brew sometime, nice find there:)
you mean it was worth hanging onto?? (I have a little calour gas stove in one of those blue tins with the windshield)
Im just lucky and very patient with car boots....
I got several nice bits today; a mess tin set, a top for a sweeps brush, and the job lot of those little day packs
This one was £3. The seller couldnt shift it as no one would believe him when he said the fuel was availible...
