Having recently bought a bivvy I was wondering if anyone uses a mossie net to keep the bugs out at night. I have a 3x3 Tatonka tarp which has a velcro loop on the inside which is dead centre, now I imagine this would be perfect to hang a net from then tuck under my bivvy.

I have had a quick look in Blacks and found two different shapes of net: A box net and a Wedge shaped net both by Life Adventure. I'm not sure if these would work or not as the hanging point on these nets doesn't seem to be in the centre. Any-one use this method at all and could recommend anything, or confirm that one of the Life Adventure nets from Blacks would do the job?

As always thanks in advance for any tips / advice.

From personal Loch Achray midge experience these nets worked a treat..

I've bought one of these last year and it works fine. There are a number of ways you can hang it (as described here on the website (http://www.nomadtravel.co.uk/catalog/browse/mosquito-nets/bugproof-treated-jungle-mosquito-net).

As for hanging, I run a utility line underneath the tarp ridge and fix the netting by two small clothes pegs.

You can get a mozi net that pitch in loads of different ways, made by lifesystems i believe, field and trek used to sell them, not sure now though. Thay packed up real small aswell :)
Would seem that lifesystems no longer do this model, shame as it was the best in the range, closest i could find wat this one on evil bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NOMAD-MEDICAL-COMBO-TREATED-DOUBLE-BED-MOSQUITO-NET_W0QQitemZ130107706146QQihZ 003QQcategoryZ27362QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem , very similar but no centre hanging point for a tipi style pitch :(
