After some pressure :rolleyes: I am starting the ninth Hammock Group Buy

The reserve list for these has now grown to the level where another buy has become almost inevitable. The information is the same as the first post in this thread

or a number of others, although frankly if you do not yet know about the group buy hammocks you really have not being paying attention.

The last time the price worked out at £19.30 including postage and PayPal fees. Hopefully the price will be about this level again but this is still to be confirmed.

I am not placing the order yet but will do so when we get to about 40 reserved between here and SotP.

Those who have expressed an interest on the old thread MUST post their interest here as well to keep all the information in the same place.

They're not really hammocks, they're eight foot silk canoes ;). It's magikelly's ploy to get more folk on the water.

Variable rocker, plenty of draught and a bit of tumblehome. Just dip in epoxy, hang up to dry and hey presto :).

I'd like one too.

I live in Switzerland so I guess there'd be extra postage costs to add on, that's fine. Is there any logistical reason why I can't have one. Should I go and set up a PayPal account, or send a cheque, or what.

I'm a bit new to this, you see......

The extra postage is only about an extra £1.50 or so.

Having a PayPal account would definitely make things much easier.

If it is any consolation I have ordered and paid for the hammocks. The money should arrive in Bali early next week and the hammocks will probably be here the end of that week or early the following week.

You don't need to add a shipping adress if you already have one set in your paypal account :)

My hammocks were waiting for me when I got home from work. Unfortunately the doc declared me unfit for the Spring Moot due to a Chest and respiratory infection so all my best laid plans have gone out the window and I am sitting here looking at my packed up hammock when I should be sitting round a fire with the rest of the Bucks boys swearing at the moon before jumping into it :(

Tuesday is great; got some (probably last ones this year) exams on tuesday and wednesday so I don't have to worry being distracted by a sweet hammock :lmao:

Mine turned up today, looks great. Considering that you must have posted hundreds of these things its' amazing how smoothly you run this. This leads me to conclude that in your day job you don't work for the post office, or FedEx.

Well, this last groupbuy came as a consequence of me nagging to get another off the ground! Once enough support was evident, John started another one. If people who want one keep posting in this thread, I'm sure a tenth buy will happen soon enough. PM Magikelly (John) to see what he thinks.

its still useable but seen alot better days and a replacement isnt to far off. Some of the stitching is threatening to come apart, at one end in particular the first of 3 rows of stitching is already coming away. This said i have slept in it non stop for the last month while out in france, i've got another 2 weeks left befor i get back to the uk and an indoor bed and i've had mine a while, its been used on a fair few camps no so i cant complain and if i didnt think it was top notch kit i wouldnt be looking at a replacement.
