Well, I finally took some time to finish this one:

This knife goes to a familiy member who is hiking the Santiago de Compostella pilgrimage in 2005. He wanted a travel companion.

I wanted to use mosaic pins for this one, but I lack the 1/4' drill bit to make a good fit. So I used stainless rods from an old IKEA shelf.

Blade is UHB20C high carbon steel, 4 mm thick. Blade length is about 4' and the zero edge slight hollow grind is razor sharp. I convexed the edge a bit for a bit more durability.

Now I only need to make a sheath for this one.

Well, I made the first one for myself and this one at least stays in the family.

Thanks. I do not sell these blades, but sometimes make them on request for friends or family members. I still lack the skill and equipment to finish them to perfection, so each one counts for practice and experimentation. I can recommend Maihkel Eklund as a maker who will deliver outstanding quality knives for a good price. Feel free to copy the design of this or my other blades and contact him.
