A collectors dream! 8-)
A collectors dream! 8-)
I heard that Hoodoo had to get a second mortgage on his soul from the devil to get all those! The scary thing is that 1.) It's contageous 2.) I'm scared about what's NOT pictured.
when you consider that accumulation in terms of USD $ it's pretty impressive.
when you consider that accumulation in terms of retail price in GBP £ then convert it back into dollars it's astounding.
when you consider that accumulation in terms of how many years you'd have to work in order to pay for 'em, you realise that he's actually the infamous hoodoo mcleod of the clan mcleod, and he's been collecting knives since 1536. his best buddy Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, chief metallurgist to king charles of spain also lives in michigan 8-)
"there can only be one of us!"
cheers, and.
From looking at the pictures of Hoodoo's knives and from his posts I tend to get the opinion that he is quite an astute character.
In one of his posts he stated that they are all users and most of the knives that he has posted pictures of are all of good quality and excellent value for money.
If you look at the axes by Lee Reeves they are excellent quality and value for money at $125 for the single bit and $145 for the double bit.
With the current exchange rates I am tempted to order one!!!!!!
Geez, I go on a little camping trip for a few days :pack: and return to find I've become infamous. :hurra: :o):
I think my knife collection shows you what a true addictive personality can accomplish. I also have a packrat mentality that makes it difficult for me to sell any off as well. :o\:
I can say though, in terms of dollars, there are lots of others out there (and you know who you are :-D ) who can make my collection seem kind of puny and unglamorous. :?:
