After finding out that my DD hammock is to small for me I have decided to use the fabric to make a lightweight smock for summer use.
Only I have never attempted anything like this before, so if anyone has any advice on how to get started it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!:)

There have been a few good threads on this including patterns, material selection, sewing, etc. Use the forum search thingy. But, to start with, check out what this guy has done - it's extremely professional.

There was a thread last year - or possibly even the year before - that had links to a couple of companies that do patterns. There was definitely a smock pattern in there but it was quite basic - I reckon you could add all sorts of extra bits and pieces (extra pockets/drawcords and all that) but I'm c**p at sewing/machining so I don't know how difficult that would be.

and one that seems to have been used a few times:

Good luck - wish I had the skills to do something like this.
