Kit Needed Any Ideas

Hi everyone,

I havent been here for ages but recently re-discoverd the site and loving my time back.

I really need some kit specific advice which is local to my area (Exeter).

Im looking for:

1. Sleeping Bag (ideally 3 season) with compression sack.
2. Tent
3. Waterproofs
4. Gaters
5. Rucksack (around 50L)

Does anyone know where I can find cheap but of a reasonable quality stuff in Exeter. Is an army surplus the best place for these? Also if anyone can help out I'd like to know prices too.

Really looking forward to getting back out there in the next month or too.

Also any suggestions for good knives (again at a resonable price)

Yeah, Endicotts are great - if I'm ever anywhere near Exeter, I'll be popping in for a rummage...

If there is a TK Max anywhere near you i highly recomend them for water proofs. I got mine for £20. idealy you want some real thin ones so they are light, breathable and compact down well.

A got my gortex gators from millets for around £20.

Knife wise, a simple mora for less than a tenner off ebay would be perfect for simple usage!
