I have been reading the articles here for quite a while and just decided to join up for the discussion. I know a few of the folks here from a couple of other forums that I frequent.

I live in Seattle Washington USA. Born in Montana (a much better place than Washington, but without adequate jobs) but have lived in either Oregon or Washington for nearly 1.5 score. My current job is with a coffee company and I take care of the point-of-sale software in our UK stores. We have about 400 stores in the UK and my training as an analytical Chemist is nearly completely useless for this role....fortunately the stores seem to get by.

Anyway, I do enjoy the outdoors...walking, canoeing, photography, and just looking. I read quite a bit and have posted some book reviews on JM-Outdoors Magazine and also a Kelly Kettle review (I consider the Kelly to be an inspired invention).

Thanks for the welcome....already feels a bit like home....several folks I know from other places.

I am wearing my eternal Filson wool vest too. I have contemplated getting the pockets repaired but cannot bear to be without it for the time required. The good thing is that my wife is starting to look at it in disgust and says I should order a new one....whooohoo. Of course, I will get a new one, get this one repaired and continue to wear the broken in one....just not telling her that.
