I've finished my first serious knife. It's made from a 'badger' kit from Shing.
Found it hard to take good photos of it - Comments welcome

not bad at all - especially for a first try, keep up the good work. :)
Out of interest, what is the handle wood.

Looks like a really nice knife.
I can see that I'm going to have to have a go making my own one fine day

Thanks guys.
The handle is walnut.
It's not my 1st go.. have already done a 'puko' type and re-handled a british army machete (and then pulled the slabs off as I didn't get the holes drilled perfectly) and then felt I could make this one a proper job!
Trouble is I want to do another one, so I may sell this one and get some steel - it's a slippery slope

Looks like a keeper to me. Nice design. What do you get in the kit? How much of the work do you have to do yourself? Todd

Thanks, I checked out the site. Looks like an ideal kit. And you can't go wrong with O-1.
