This is exactly the type of post which should be lifted, in its entirety, and put into the web site articles section (with the author's permission). It should also stay here but once this thread dies it would live on in the main site.
This would encourage this type of post as the comittment to this type of article deserves a longer life than the forums provide.
Obvously when I say this post I mean the original one on this thread, not mine.

Thank you for a very informative article.
Good job.
I too am a big fan of Gransfors axes. Superb tools. Only kind of axes worth buuying in my estimation.

The article has been published at outdoors-magazine.com which has a reciprocal agreement with this site IIRC, so Tony has total permission to use the article.

There is a mutual exchange agreement with Tony, he gave me a list of articles he wanted, but never picked them. Tony?
Can even make the look bcuk style easily (that is only a demo):

Our info is public if the authors accept as Chad did, only ask for author name being kept and link to original publisher (as there need to be one copy considered as master copy in cases of changes).

Very informative and useful. I will be sending friends to read it.
I suppose you know that Cliff Stamp over at BladeForums is also quite high on GB's, as is Mike Stewart of Bark River. Mike particularly points to the edge/handle angle of GB's - "angle of attack" -- as critical to their success as choppers.
