Hi just wondered if anyone had tried making Slider. A friend introduced me to it when we had been making Sloe gin. What you do is decant your Sloe gin when its ready but save the gin infused sloe's. Then put these in a suitable container with 2 liters of still cider ( i used scrumpy ). Leave this for two weeks and then decant and enjoy :beerchug:

Is the name also a clue as to the effect it has??

Seriously, never come across it before, but got to be worth a try. :)

Interesting idea. I usually put the sloes into chocolate after they come out of the gin. Have to give the slider a try :)

I had some cider from the shop last night - it was `infused with berries ` and quite nice.. I don't usually like cider (the stuff I made was rough!!) but this was quite nice!

That sounds fun. What sort of quantity of sloes to the 2l?

As for chocolate & sloes - tried it, but another time I'll stone the sloes first. Wish I could find an easy way to do that...

Hi Espy

That sounds fun. What sort of quantity of sloes to the 2l?

There was about 1.5lbs of sloes originaly covered with a ltr of gin.
The Slider was really smooth and quite potent :1244: :approve:

I wonder what gin and cider steeped sloes in chocolate taste like??

(I really really hate waste! :D )
