Just thought I'd let you know about this book I read recently. It depicts the lives of trappers and native americans in the great Canadian wilderness as modernization was slowly beginning to transform it. I really enjoyed Grey Owl's style, its nature writing and adventure at its best.
There's also an interesting story behind the author.

Yea that's the one, he even managed to fool the Queen of England when he was invited to London. Whatever about his past and personal life his message about the importance of conservation was well ahead of its time and its obvious he had a deep appreciation of nature. There's also some interesting biographies on his own life on Amazon.
