View Full Version : Extendable basha poles
Does anyone know if/where one might find poles for a basha that might extend up to about 1.75-2m? Collapsed size is less of a problem. Walking poles are fine for setting up to sleep under, but ideally I'd like something one could just about stand under.
Any ideas?
Ken.
Hi Ken
Dont know if this helps but the only ones I know of can be found at http://www.rvops.co.uk (just put 'poles' into the search box and it will come up with the product).
Hope its what youre looking for

I got some 2m poles which are elasticated - I have a big tarp for the family to eat under. I got them from

I bought the stowaway last year.
Good kit, good service. Worth giving the guy a call.

Can you not make some on site, using some hazel or something, or is that not practicle where you go................Jon
Try a golfing brolly with the extendable spike in the handle. Mine goes up to 2 metres. It's not lightweight, though I've often wondered about turing it into a walking staff come basha if I added a skirt of fabric to the brolly part.

The ones you want are the same I got from Cotwold outdoors, do a search on telescopic tarp pole. I have two and am looking to get a couple more. http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/Cat/122777?history=search%20result s

A really good option is hide poles from shooters supply shops. Try Deben or Attelborough on line. They come set up with kick plates to be stamped into the earth and a clip on top to attach to your tarp
Just a though
