beautiful knife (of course - its a shing) but personally I think I prefer the more pointy older knife. Btw what are the scales made out of?

Nice looking knife indeed sir. I am trying to get in touch with Shing at the moment to order a knife kit but don't seem to be getting any response. Is this knife made by yourself or the elusive man himself?

I think Shing prefers E mail rather than PM. :)

Looks like a great shaped handle for long, hard work without getting aches in your wrist and a blistered hand as a result! However no handguard in case you lose your grip?
