I need a set of roof bars to fit a Renault 19 The time has come to get the prospector out and Im fed up with buying knew ones every time I change cars.

I have a paddy hopkirk roof rack with fittings for a megane that might fit...

I dont think Megane ones fit thanks anyway though. I am sorted now I have borrowed "err indoors" motor as we had a set to fit that. I just hope it stays nice for a few canoe trips. :D

I also have one of the handi racks...fantastic bit of kit and will fit most cars and the beauty about it is ease of use and storage!

Bloodline,
Even though you have sorted your immediate problem I would look seriously at the handirack mentioned by Dano and Jamie for future excursions. I have one too and I have got to say they are fantastic. I used mine last weekend to pick up half a dozen eight foot fence posts from Wickes and they worked a treat. They are ideal for canoes as they are actually inflatable so the canoe is sitting on a cushion of air.
