Lets get started with
3 x Exped Crush XXS
1 x Exped Crush M
2 x Exped Fold Dry Bag M 8L
1 x Exped Pack Liner M
And if you do decide to sell some climbing tape I'm up for some of that as well.
Hey, you need to change your nick to Mr Groupbuy!
2 x XS 3D £3.50 Waterproof Crush Dry Bags
1 x M 8 Ltr £3.30 Fold Dry Bags
1 x XS 3 Ltr £2.50 Fold Dry Bags please.
Well done on organising yet another group buy - top stuff. :D The prices are very good too- I've got several exped dry bags already - they're excellent kit. If anyone's interested the green dry bag (XS) is a handy size for bivvy bag or tarp. The picture and info here (http://www.facewest.co.uk/pp/exped/folddrybag.htm) might give a better idea of sizes.
Thanks again.

Hi John, can you just quickly clarify whether there is a £10 minimum order for each person, or if it just means that if you order less then the price is a little more?

Hi John, can you just quickly clarify whether there is a £10 minimum order for each person, or if it just means that if you order less then the price is a little more?
The £10 is per person. The overall minimum order is £250  . For orders of less than £10 the paypal fees and postage take any saving away from the person buying and it is a lot of work to take the money and post out the order for the person recieving it to only save £0.50 or the like. It would be less hassle for me to just send them £0.50 towards the cost of a bag ;)
The same supplier does climbing tape but I need to geet a sample to ensure it is the right stuff.

Now the insect nettings are here I think the 8 Ltr bag is the smallest you should get if you want to use it for the hammock, netting and straps. The bigger might be a safer bet.
Do not be surprised if I do not post a list of all the orders for a few days. The insect nettings and hammocks will be taking my free time for a while.
Can i have 2 of the L 13Ltr and 1 XL 22 Ltr Fold dry bags by Exped please Jon.
Thanks very much mate.

Apart from the obvious price differential, is there a reason why everyone is going for exped? I was under the impression that ortlieb were the mutts, am I wrong or are they just not worth the extra?
I can't speak for everyone, but I've already got a few Exped bags and really rate them. I think they're probably a lot lighter than the Ortlieb ones, but I'm not sure.

Ortlieb are much more robust bags and ideal in a canoe for putting your stuff in, as they will take a fair bit of bashing about but they are quite thick. So if you want a pack liner or small bags for separating your gear, where the bags are protected from the rough and tumble, the Exped ones are lighter and easier to use.

Ortileb are great bags your not wrong. I use my dry bags generally inside another bag or ruck sack if i was just throwing the dry bag in a boat or canoe i would go for the Ortlieb ones but i don't need the heavy wait abrasion resistance.

I've already got a 30L Ortlieb as a pack liner, but it's rather heavy and not quite the right shape (it's round in section, whereas the Exped Pack Liners are more rectangular). As has already been said, you don't necessarily need a bomb-proof bag for use as a liner.
It's a good bit of kit alright, but not quite what I really want.
Go on then I'll cave!
Please can I get one of each of the following Exped liners:
Pack Liner
XS 30 Ltr £3.70
S 40 / 65 Ltr £8.00
Thank you kindly for sorting this John :approve: :thanks:

Probably placing the order tomorrow but I will post tonight when I close the offer and do the final tally.
I do not think I have the choice of colours. I believe each size comes in one colour but I could be wrong so I am afraid you will just need to take what colours come. If that is going to be a problem let me know.

Okay they are all here. They come with a cardboard bit attached to the bags to hang them on display stands. I will be removing this and binning it to save on postage. If you would prefer it kept then let me know. Postage may be a bit slower than other group buys as I am away on Friday, Sat and Sunday on a canoe trip and also the larger bags are going to be "fun" to pack  That'll teach me to stick to hammocks.
So PayPal payments should be made to John "at" MagiKelly.co.uk and MAKE SURE YOU SAY WHAT YOU HAVE ORDERED. Also include your username and address. In the event of confusion I will keep your money and use your dry bags as my own :p

Bags arrived, excellent! Thanks.
Must say I'm very surprised by them! Especially the Dry Bag Wide: XL 42 Ltr which almost takes my Karrimor Sabre 60-100 rucksack  Only the bottom can be seen, the rucksack is completely covered (side pockets filled half, main compartment filled) - but can't be closed.

Now I'm hoping it'll rain this summer ( :sad6: ) when I'm on your side of the pond.
Can always ask someone to ask you to throw it in the water for you ;) :sad6:
(Are you going to the summer meetup BTW? location and date? from a fellow Dutchie :D)

:lmao:
I'm off to Dartmoor (June 20th), so I think I'll encounter enough water to find out  No throwing in the water needed :p
Fortunately my 8 ltr dry bag will keep my spare clothes nice and dry :D

I reckon you mean the BCUK bushmoot? That's from the 28th July to the 1st August (Merthyr Mawr (this links to a previous meet at the same location) (http://www.bushcraftuk.com/community/showthread.php?t=5614) - South Wales).
