Hi
Can anybody tell me the size of the army jungle sleeping bag, I know it is lightweight but it would do for what I want if it fits me. :)

Cheers

Hope this helps :)

Didn't know there was a "Jungle" sleeping bag. The times I went when I served we used the GS bag or self purchased a light weight one. Alternativly the US poncho liner was a favourite. I will be interested to know where the info came from as it looks like I missed out for 24 years.

I've got one and I think they are rubbish!! Mine is in Iraq over my window to cut the light out first thing in the morning, which tends to wake me early!! I was cold every night I slept in the damned thing, and I used it in Africa aswell when I went to The Democratic Republic of Congo in 2003, and again froze to death everynight!!!

I think the softie 3 is better.

Mate of mine in the TA rates the issue jungle bag very highly,he reckons he uses his bag with a good heavyweight style liner all year round.Never used one myself so I cannot really comment on how good they are!

Bag Sleeping Jungle NSN 8465-99-869-5310. Thanks for the heads up. The QM kept that info under wraps. Phil no need for that NSN now.
