What is it? A total stealth blade? How will you find it when you put it down?

I don't think html in posts is enabled as it is too much of a security risk.

Here's the pic:

I would show it on the post but the pic is huge!

Looks interesting. What thickness of steel are you thinking about?

Thats an interesting design. Whilst blade shape is often a matter of choosing the right tool for the job, I think that personal preference comes into it far more than is often mentioned. Personally I would not normally go for a blade with such a "blunt" point, but that doesn't mean I think it's a bad design.
I guess from the grind lines that you plan on having it hollow ground? A Scandi style edge that size would take for ever to sharpen, even if it only needed a light touch-up.
At 5.5mm thick it will be a hefty tool, useful for some serious chopping as well as general tasks about camp.

Longstrider I can see that you know what I have designed this for, though not as large as some but I think it will do the job.

That doesn't look too dissimilar from Lord Farquar's recent offering, perhaps you should call on his expertise.

It looks very close to the Grohmann survival knife in shape http://www.grohmannknives.com/pages/r4s.html
