i've had one for 2 1/2 yrs, no complaitns at all. excellent carry, loadsa room for nappies, little lad likes sitting it.
Excellent - thanks for letting me know.
I've got a VD carrier, not sure which one, we got it 7 years ago for about £150....it's been a fantastic bit of kit, done two kids and is now being used for the 3rd. They make good kit, no doubt about it.
You should go to the store and try it though, put the baby in it, or take someone else’s and put them in and an older child if you can get one as you'll probably use it for a few years. I presume that you and your wife are going to use it do make sure it's going to fit you both, ours if fantastic like that. I'm 6'1" with a 58" chest and she's 5' 7" and a size 12 and it adjusts for both of us.....
You'll all benefit from buying quality on a baby carrier.. :D
Another recommendation then. Thanks Tony.

Sorry for butting in guys,
Does anyone have a link so that I can see one on the web. We're overdue for our third addition and I've not been able to find a carrier that I could wear for our previous two children. I'm a little taller than Tony and a little less around the chest but if the adjustments are as you say, it should fit reasonably well.
Thanx in advance

i'm 5' 10" 13-14 st and the carrier fits me fine. 5'2" wife will cary it empty, looks like it'd fit her.
No problem:

When we used a carrier (cant remember the make) we got one that had a fold out stand. It was a bit heavier but was worth it.
We also attached a little plastic mirror (about 2" square, form a bike shop) to a string on the shoulder straps. It was used to look at the kid when you were on your own with them. Surprising how often it was used.
Well I'm glad we went to try them on (Thanks Tony). I found the Vaude Swing was more comfortable than the Jolly Comfort. It also had the advantage (for me anyway) of having a mesh back which will help prevent sweaty back syndrome. It's also cheaper than the Jolly Comfort. The storage space seems a little less than the JC but still adequate. Most of the time there'll be two of us, so the other can have a daysack though. The sun/rain cover and a change mat is included with the JC.
Now that I've tried them on, I need to find the best price online. It seems the best I could do was Little Trekkers (http://www.littletrekkers.co.uk/shop/index.php/flypage/1089/ca8207833a4f6ada30217a8bda9850 cb) for £63.
It will be money well spent; we've got a land rover three wheeler but it still gets left in the car when there's some rough land to cover.
