many people have asked to see the video of the Kellam Lapp puukko Carbon being tested by the BCUK team, now with many thanks to Adi007 it is avaliable to download from the links below.

The test involved hammering the lapp puukko 4cm into wood ninety degrees to the grain and then standing on the handle, we jumped up and down on it a little too :-D

the first link in the Puukko being hammered into the tree, the second is it being bounced on.

The person hammering it in and standing on it is me :-D , the voices you can hear are Tony, Ed, Roving Rich, Jamie, and Jack

the test was carried out in Jacks coppice and the voice saying "just leave it there" is Jack

many thanks Adi700

That was great! :biggthump I'm sure glad it didn't snap 'cause I'd hate to have seen your foot get raked with the jagged edge. :yikes:

One tough puukko.

If that had happened we'd have submitted it to "Funniest Home Videos" or something before putting it up!! :-D

We managed to get it out..... it was undamaged..... no bends etc....... and now Roving Rich has it to put a new handle on.

One tough lil blade.....

Wow! What a wonderful USP!

Would be great to other knives to same test, a part from mine of course!

Ask Tony if he'll try it with his Alan Wood Woodlore ... :-D ... but you'd need two video camaras - one for the knife and one to catch the look on his face! :-D

Well done!!! I had dobted the wisodm of Mors test, and figured a mora or puukko would fail for sure. You guys put it to the test, great job.

For those who make fun of "carrot cutters" with their brick smashing tests (at least claimed to be performed), this is a great retort.

I'm impressed 8-)

Yes, that's what I though ... after years of thinking that the Mors test was just way too agressive and over-the-top, we have video evidence that it isn't!

I for one and well impressed by Kellam knives!

If you're on an ADSL connection then it will take a while for the vids to come in (and you'll still need to be a little patient!) ... but if you are on a dial up connection, what I'd suggest you do it right click on the links and download them and play them from your PC.

thats quite impressive.
supposedly a scandinvian method of felling trees if you don't have an axe is to hammer your knife into the trunk then take it out and hammer it in at another spot all the way round the trunk, then push the tree over, would have to be a small tree though. anyone try doing it?
