Hi, does anyone know of anywhere I could get a cheap strop...I don't particularly want to use the inside of my belt, but want one that stows away easily. Are there any specific requirements for a good one? (length, thickness, width etc).

I seem to be able to find hairdressers ones only.

Cheers.

Go to your nearest Charity Shop and buy an old leather belt or handbag. You might not get what you want on the first visit but keep trying you'll get something.

A starkie strop might fit the bill, a leather strop already to size etc, they aren't too expensive, and seem to work really well, but still not as cheap as the charity shop belt!
