If, like me, you are lucky enough to be able to see this program, it's well worth marking ITV1 The Foragers Field guide Thursday 1930hrs on your calendar this weeks program (http://www.itvregions.com/West/Programmes/The+Foragers+Field+Guide+-+Thursdays+at+7.30pm+from+Janu ary+5+2006.htm) this week they covered basic meadow plants like nettles and wild garlic.
While not totally bushcraft in nature and a with a slightly twee pair of presenters, it was nevertheless an interesting program. Simple recipes for nettle soup and lamb with wild garlic were today’s fare.
On the website there is a simple .pdf file with the points covered in the program and the recipes explained in detail if you didn’t manage to catch them first time round
