got myself a hennesy explorer deluxe hammock for crimbo, eagerly rushed out and pulled it between the nearest posts, mmmmmmmmm whats this rectangular shaped flysheet????? i thought that the fly would be shaped in a more diamond pattern, so as to make the fly symetrical once it was placed on the ridgeline? it works ok but seems a little odd, any thoughts?????????

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm................ . That does sound rather odd.... Mine has the rhombus shaped fly. Where'd you get it from (i.e. a reputable dealer, or that guy named Vinnie from the pub)? I'd take it back to the shop you got it from and tell them, because that does sound rather odd.

bought it off the net, the supplier was a hennesy verified reseller, i sourced the retailer through hennesy thats the trouble with online purchases, long way to Texas from Leicester England!

I've got the standard and Hex fly for my hennessy and neither of them I would discribe as rectangular.
I'd email them asap and find out what's going on mate :rolleyes:

Lol....no, I do use the guy lines provided with my hennessy but if I'm in a basha then it's bungees all the way for me! :p

The asym fly IS a rectangle. But when you attach two corresponding corners to your hammock, it forms the asymetrical diamond.
The older non asym hammocks just had a diamond fly.
