Spent the day out up Snowden a couple of weeks ago.
Initially it looked like an interesting day weather-wise but it cleared up nicely. As we left the car park at the start of the day we were told that the railway line and the cafe were closed due to bad weather. Luckily these were reopened once the weather improved I say luckily cos I managed to pack my stove, kettle, brew kit and everything, and then left the matches at home!

It was still pretty windy and cold at the top.

Did you know Snowdonia was designated a National Park on this day in 1951? Nice we report and lovely pictures, cheers for posting.

That brought back some happy memories.

When my then girlfriend lived on Anglesey I used to take myself off for a trip up Snowden during the Christmas break. I have a photo from the summit looking back down across to the island and you could see for miles.
