My firs deer provided bones and a freezer full of meat...However I was unable to tan the hide. Not entirely sure why but it developed drastic "slip". Either I left it too long or didn't flesh it enough. However I am now in need of a decent sized (fallow upwards) deer or reindeer skin. On principal I wont buy one of the easily purchasable reindeer pelts as they have been marked up considerably. I saw them on sale for 45 euros in Lapland! I'd prefer the fur to be on but the softness is not so important (can be rug grade) as it will be used for a quiver. Smallish holes would alos be okay
